GASP-2 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects GASP-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GASP-2 Antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GASP-2, also known as G protein-coupled receptor associated sorting protein 2, is an 838 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating G protein-coupled receptors, such as the calcitonin receptor and the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M1, by interacting with their cytoplasmic tails. This interaction is vital for proper receptor trafficking and signaling, as GASP-2 is primarily expressed in the brain and is a member of the GPRASP family. Notably, GASP-2 forms a complex with Huntingtin, a protein associated with Huntington′s disease, suggesting GASP-2 may influence the cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders. GASP-2′s ability to modulate receptor activity and localization underscores its importance in various physiological processes and potential implications in therapeutic strategies targeting G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathways.
