SEE ALSO...

GART Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GART protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GART (D-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GART protein, also known as GAR transformylase, is a crucial folate-dependent trifunctional enzyme that plays a significant role in de novo purine biosynthesis, possessing activities as a phosphoribosylglycinamide formyltransferase, phosphoribosylglycinamide synthetase, and AICAR (phosphoribosylaminoimidazole synthetase). GART protein is essential for purine synthesis, which drives energy metabolism, cell signaling, and cellular reproduction, while serving as precursors for coenzymes and regulatory factors involved in RNA and DNA synthesis. Cancer cells exhibit an increased demand for purines to support rapid growth, making GART protein a potential target for cancer chemotherapy. GART protein is highly conserved across vertebrates, and alternative splicing results in the expression of two isoforms, highlighting evolutionary significance and functional versatility in cellular processes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Funzionamento buono!L' anticorpo anti GART sc-166379 (Lot # H0317) è stato testato su 2 e 5 µg di lisato proteico, estratto da mitocondri provenienti da cellule HeLa. Come si può notare dall' immagine del Western Blotting sottostante, l'anticorpo fornisce un segnale intenso e corrispondente al peso molecolare della proteina da esso riconosciuta.
