SEE ALSO...

γ Tubulin Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects γ Tubulin of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-γ Tubulin antibody (D-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. γ Tubulin plays a crucial role in microtubule organization and is essential for gammasome formation, a complex that nucleates microtubule filaments at the centrosome. This process is vital for proper cell division and cellular structure maintenance, as microtubules are integral components of the cytoskeleton that provide support and shape to the cell, facilitate intracellular transport, and are involved in mitotic spindle formation during cell division. γ Tubulin forms complexes with other tubulin isoforms and proteins, highlighting its importance in cellular dynamics and signaling pathways. γ Tubulin monoclonal antibody (D-10) enables researchers to effectively study microtubule organization dynamics and implications in various cellular processes and diseases.

Can γ Tubulin (D-10): sc-17788 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, γ Tubulin (D-10): sc-17788 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
