    SEE ALSO...

Gα gust Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Gα gust protein from mouse, rat, and human sources through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Gα gust (B-3) antibody comes in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. Gα gust protein functions as a key molecular switch in gustatory signaling pathways, transmitting signals from taste receptors to downstream effectors within taste cells. Gα gust protein primarily resides in taste buds, where sweet, bitter, and umami flavors are detected. Gα gust expression in taste cells enables proper gustatory system function by triggering signaling cascades that lead to taste perception. As a member of the Gi subclass of G protein α subunits, Gα gust inhibits adenylate cyclase activity and regulates intracellular cyclic AMP levels. Research on Gα gust localization and function helps scientists understand taste transduction mechanisms and their impact on dietary preferences and nutritional behaviors.
