galectin-10 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects galectin-10 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-galectin-10 antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Galectin-10, also known as Charcot-Leyden crystal (CLC) protein, is a key component of Charcot-Leyden crystals, which are hexagonal bipyramidal structures found in human tissues and secretions. The presence of these crystals is associated with elevated eosinophil counts, often seen in parasitic infections and allergic reactions, highlighting galectin-10′s role in immune responses. As a member of the galectin family, galectin-10 binds to β-galactosides and is primarily expressed in eosinophilic and basophilic leukocytes, where galectin-10 may contribute to the regulation of inflammation and immune responses. Notably, galectin-10 expression can be transcriptionally induced by butyric acid, suggesting a potential link between dietary components and immune modulation.
