GAL4 [DBD] Antibody (RK5C1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GAL4 by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-GAL4 antibody (RK5C1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GAL4, derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, serves as a pivotal transcriptional activator, playing a crucial role in gene expression regulation. N-terminal 147 amino acid residues are essential for specific and robust DNA binding, although these residues do not facilitate efficient transcriptional activation independently.
