G0S2 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects G0S2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). G0S2 (D-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. G0S2, also known as putative lymphocyte G0/G1 switch protein 2, plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle progression, particularly in the transition from G0 phase to G1 phase, which is essential for cellular proliferation and differentiation. This regulation is particularly important in adipocyte differentiation, where G0S2 expression is necessary for cells to commit to entering the cell cycle, thereby influencing metabolic processes and energy homeostasis. Additionally, G0S2 is a novel target of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) and has been implicated in the regulation of latent HIV, highlighting potential significance in both metabolic and viral pathologies. The gene encoding G0S2 is located on human chromosome 1, the largest chromosome in the human genome, which spans approximately 260 million base pairs and contains around 3,000 genes. Given the extensive number of genes on chromosome 1, G0S2 is associated with a variety of diseases, including rare conditions like Hutchinson-Gilford progeria and several cancers, making G0S2 a protein of considerable interest in both basic and clinical research.
