FUNDC2 Antibody (2G12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FUNDC2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FUNDC2 antibody (2G12) is available as the non-conjugated format. FUNDC2, also known as FUN14 domain-containing protein 2, HCC-3 (cervical cancer proto-oncogene 3 protein), HCBP6 (hepatitis C virus core-binding protein 6), or DC44, is a 189 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating mitophagy, the process by which damaged mitochondria are selectively degraded. This function is vital for maintaining cellular health and energy homeostasis, particularly in response to stress conditions, as FUNDC2 helps prevent the accumulation of dysfunctional mitochondria that can lead to apoptosis and various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.
