SEE ALSO...

FRRS1L Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FRRS1L protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FRRS1L (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FRRS1L protein, also known as ferric-chelate reductase 1-like, brain protein CG-6, or C9orf4, is a 344 amino acid single-pass membrane protein primarily expressed in the adult and fetal brain, with weaker expression in the spinal cord, adult ovary, and medulla. FRRS1L protein plays a crucial role in the assembly and function of the AMPA receptor complex, which is essential for mediating fast synaptic transmission in the central nervous system. FRRS1L protein contains one DOMON domain and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 9q31.3. FRRS1L interaction with auxiliary subunits is vital for regulating the gating properties and surface trafficking of the AMPA receptor complex, thereby influencing their biogenesis and protein processing. FRRS1L ability to modulate these processes highlights its importance in synaptic plasticity and overall neuronal function, making FRRS1L protein a significant target for research in neurobiology and related fields.
