frizzled-3 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects frizzled-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-frizzled-3 antibody (C-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. frizzled-3, a member of the frizzled family, plays a crucial role in the Wnt signaling pathway, which is essential for various developmental processes, including tissue polarity and cell fate determination. Located primarily in the cell membrane, frizzled-3 contains seven transmembrane domains and a cysteine-rich extracellular domain, which are vital for functioning as a receptor for Wnt ligands. This receptor′s ability to interact with G proteins is significant, as frizzled-3 influences the intracellular levels of β-catenin, a key player in regulating gene expression and maintaining cellular homeostasis. frizzled-3 is notably expressed in the central nervous system and has been implicated in conditions such as schizophrenia, highlighting frizzled-3′s importance in neural development and function. Additionally, alternative splicing of the frizzled-3 gene results in two distinct isoforms, further diversifying functional roles in various biological contexts.
