    SEE ALSO...

Fractalkine Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects the fractalkine protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-fractalkine antibody (A-9) is available as the non-conjugated form. Fractalkine, also known as CX3CL1 or neurotactin, plays a crucial role in immune response and neuronal signaling, acting as both a chemokine and adhesion molecule. A unique structure featuring a C-X3-C motif distinguishes fractalkine from other chemokines and allows existence in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. Membrane-bound fractalkine mediates interactions between neurons and immune cells, facilitating monocyte and T cell recruitment to inflammation sites. This dual functionality underscores fractalkine′s significance in neuroinflammatory processes and immune response regulation, making fractalkine a vital target for research in neurodegenerative diseases and inflammatory conditions. Fractalkine mRNA expression occurs in brain and heart, with notable upregulation in microglia and endothelial cells in response to inflammatory stimuli, highlighting fractalkine′s role in disease pathophysiology.

Could you show us immunofluorescence images used fractalkine (A-9: sc-166200) antibody?

    Asked by: kame
This primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for IF (immunofluorescent staining of fresh or frozen tissues or cells fixed in methanol or acetone), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

What blocking solution should I use with fractalkine (A-9): sc-166200 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
