    • Anti-Fra-2 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a (kappa light chain) Fra-2 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
    • raised against amino acids 180-282 of Fra-2 of human origin
    • Anti-Fra-2 Antibody (G-5) is recommended for detection of Fra-2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
    • Anti-Fra-2 Antibody (G-5) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
    • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
    • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
    • TransCruz reagent for Gel Supershift and ChIP applications (sc-166102 X, 200 µg/0.1 ml)
    • See m-IgGκ BP-HRP (mouse IgGκ binding protein-HRP), our highly recommended recombinant alternative to conventional secondary anti-mouse IgG reagents.
    • Contact our Technical Service Department (or your local Distributor) for more information on how to receive a FREE 10 µg sample of Fra-2 (G-5): sc-166102.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-166102 X be used instead of the standard form sc-166102?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from worked ok for human lysates from OCT OCT-embedded human lung tissue was washed with cold HBSS and centrifuged at 10000g, three times. Then, pellet was lysed with SDS buffer (62.5 mM Tris-HCl pH 6.8, 2% SDS and 10% glycerol) and the lysates were used ith standard WB conditions: 20-60μg protein (total extracts in RIPA buffer) per sample was loaded. Membranes were blocked with 5% BSA or non-fat dry milk in PBS-T(1% Tween 20). Antibody was diluted 1/300.Blots were incubated with the appropriate secondary horseradish peroxidase-coupled antibody (GE) and developed using the Luminata Western HRP Substrate (Millipore) and Amersham ECL Hyperfilms (GE Healthcare) or a ChemiDoc XRS+ imaging system with Image Lab image acquisition and analysis software (Bio-Rad)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless antibody for immunohistochemistry I do not know why SCBT discontinued their polyclonal antibodies for several of the transcription factors like Fra-2 and Fos. they worked beautifully in my research. The monoclonal replacements do not work at all. Huge waste of money. They would not even send a sample to test out prior to purchase to determine if it worked.
