FOXJ2 Antibody (11K1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Forkhead box protein J2 (FOXJ2) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXJ2 is a 574 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene FOXJ2 and is a member of the forkhead family of transcription factors, which are characterized by a distinct forkhead DNA-binding domain. FOXJ2 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression during development and in adult tissues, particularly in the testis and ovary. Notably, FOXJ2 is expressed in pachytene spermatocytes and round spermatids, as well as in Sertoli cells in the testis, while in the ovary, FOXJ2 is found in granulosa cells of the follicles. FOXJ2 expression is absent in mature spermatozoa and oocytes, highlighting its specific developmental role. Additionally, FOXJ2 is expressed in both the trophectoderm and inner cell mass of the blastocyst, indicating importance in early embryonic development. FOXJ2′s ability to bind to DNA with dual specificity underscores potential regulatory functions in various biological processes, making anti-FOXJ2 antibody (11K1) an essential tool for researchers studying developmental biology and reproductive health.
