    SEE ALSO...

FOXE1 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects FOXE1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXE1 (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The forkhead box protein E1 (FOXE1) plays a crucial role in thyroid development and function, as FOXE1 is essential for the differentiation of thyroid follicular cells and the biosynthesis of thyroid hormones. FOXE1 achieves this by regulating the expression of key genes such as the sodium iodide symporter (NIS), thyroid peroxidase (TPO), thyroglobulin (TG), and the thyrotropin receptor (TSHR). FOXE1 is predominantly expressed in several tissues, including the thymus, adult brain, lung, liver, heart, and pancreas, highlighting FOXE1′s importance in various physiological processes. The FOXE1 gene is located on chromosome 9q22, and FOXE1 mutations are associated with congenital hypothyroidism, which affects approximately one in four thousand newborns, leading to significant developmental issues such as thyroid gland underdevelopment. Additionally, individuals with specific mutations in the forkhead domain of the FOXE1 gene may experience thyroid agenesis, cleft palate, and choanal atresia, making FOXE1 a valuable marker for studying these conditions.
