FOXC2 Antibody (1D11C8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects FOXC2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXC2 is a crucial member of the forkhead/winged helix transcription factor family, playing a significant role in regulating adipocyte metabolism by enhancing the sensitivity of the beta-adrenergic-cAMP-protein kinase A (PKA) signaling pathway. This modulation helps counteract the adverse effects of obesity, particularly in the context of high-fat diets, where increased FOXC2 levels can mitigate symptoms associated with excessive fat accumulation. Additionally, FOXC2 is essential for the early stages of chondrogenic differentiation, both in vivo and in vitro, highlighting its importance in developmental biology. Notably, FOXC2 haploinsufficiency is linked to Lymphedema-distichiasis (LD), an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by limb lymphedema and double rows of eyelashes, underscoring the clinical relevance of FOXC2. Furthermore, studies have shown that FOXC2 interacts with FOXC1 within the Notch signaling pathway, which is critical for kidney and heart development, indicating its multifaceted role in both metabolic regulation and developmental processes.
