FosB Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 1-237 of human FosB, a critical transcription factor that responds to diverse cellular stimuli. Anti-FosB antibody (B-10) recognizes both FosB and its splice variant ΔFosB, demonstrating cross-reactivity with human, mouse, rat, and canine samples through Western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. As a nuclear phosphoprotein sharing approximately 70% homology with c-Fos, FosB exhibits similar rapid and transient induction patterns in response to growth factors, cytokines, and stress signals. FosB′s regulatory function primarily operates through heterodimer formation with Jun family proteins, particularly c-Jun and JunB. These complexes bind to TPA response elements (TREs) to activate transcription, controlling genes involved in cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and immune responses.
