Datasheets
  • Follicular DC Marker Antibody (Ki-M9R) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 Follicular DC Marker antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 100 µg/ml
  • raised against peritoneal macrophages of rat origin
  • recommended for detection of antigen trapping macrophages of the B-cell system such as sinus lining cells and dendritic reticulum cells of mouse and rat origin by IF and IHC(P); may cross-react with splenic metallophils; non cross-reactive with macrophages in T-cell areas and macrophages in nonlymphoid organs
  • At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for Follicular DC Marker Antibody (Ki-M9R). This work is in progress.

Follicular DC Marker Antibody (Ki-M9R) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Follicular DC Marker protein in mouse and rat samples through immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Follicular DC Marker antibody (Ki-M9R) is available in non-conjugated format. Dendritic cells (DCs) play a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in processing and presenting antigens to T cells, which is essential for initiating adaptive immune responses. Among various dendritic cell types, Follicular DCs primarily reside in germinal centers of lymphoid follicles, where these cells facilitate B cell selection and maturation. This specific localization is vital for developing effective humoral immunity, as Follicular DCs provide essential signals and support for B cell activation and differentiation. Follicular DCs retain and present antigens over extended periods, which is critical for forming long-lasting immunological memory. Follicular DC Marker antibody (Ki-M9R) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying dendritic cell function dynamics and interactions within the immune microenvironment.

Can sc-58529: Follicular DC Marker (Ki-M9R) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-58529: Follicular DC Marker (Ki-M9R) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
