SEE ALSO...

FOG Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FOG protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FOG antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FOG protein, known as friend of GATA-1, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression during hematopoiesis and embryonic development by interacting with GATA family transcription factors. FOG proteins contain multiple zinc finger domains that facilitate binding to GATA proteins, forming complexes essential for the maturation of erythroid and megakaryocyte lineages. FOG′s structure enables these interactions, as the arrangement of zinc fingers allows for specific recognition and binding to GATA factors, thereby influencing transcriptional outcomes. FOG-2, a member of the FOG family, exhibits context-dependent regulatory effects on GATA-mediated transcription, highlighting the complexity of these interactions in different cellular environments. Understanding FOG proteins′ functional dynamics is vital for elucidating their roles in developmental biology and potential implications in hematological disorders.
