SEE ALSO...

FNDC3B Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FNDC3B of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FNDC3B antibody (B-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FNDC3B, also known as factor for adipocyte differentiation 104 or HCV NS5A-binding protein 37, plays a critical role in adipogenesis, the process by which pre-adipocytes differentiate into mature adipocytes. This process is particularly significant due to the involvement of adipocytes in metabolic disorders such as obesity and type II diabetes, as adipocytes secrete hormones and bioactive peptides that influence various physiological functions, including hemostasis, angiogenesis, and energy balance. FNDC3B is expressed during the early stages of adipogenesis and is a 1,204 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of nine fibronectin type-III domains. Notably, FNDC3B-deficient mice exhibit a lethal phenotype within one day of birth, underscoring FNDC3B′s essential role in survival and development. Studies have shown that mouse embryonic fibroblasts lacking FNDC3B function demonstrate impaired stress fiber formation, indicating FNDC3B′s involvement in critical cellular processes such as proliferation, adhesion, spreading, and migration.
