SEE ALSO...

FNBP2 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FNBP2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FNBP2 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FNBP2, also known as formin binding protein 2, SRGAP3, ARHGAP34, or SRGAP2, is a 1,071 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways. FNBP2 is primarily expressed at low levels in the placenta, kidney, and ovary, and contains a FCH (Fps/Fes/Fer/CIP4 homology) domain, a Rho-GAP domain, and a SH3 (Src homology 3) domain, which are essential for its function as a putative GTPase-activating protein for Rho family small GTPases. These Rho GTPases act as molecular switches that regulate vital cellular processes such as actin dynamics, cell adhesion, cell-cycle progression, and transcription. FNBP2′s interaction with other proteins, including members of the FNBP2 family like SRGAP1, WRP (WAVE-associated Rac GTPase-activating protein), and ARHGAP4, suggests involvement in critical processes such as cell migration and axon guidance, making FNBP2 an important target for research in cellular biology and developmental processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398399 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
