    SEE ALSO...

FNBP1 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects FNBP1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FNBP1 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FNBP1, also known as formin binding protein 1, FBP17, or KIAA0554, is a 617 amino acid protein that plays a vital role in cellular processes by localizing to key areas within the cell, such as the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, lysosome, and cell cortex. This localization is crucial for linking the actin cytoskeleton with Rho 7 signaling, which is essential for membrane tubulation and cytoskeletal reorganization during endocytosis. FNBP1 enhances actin polymerization and promotes membrane invagination, facilitating the formation of tubules necessary for various cellular activities. Notably, FNBP1 exists as four alternatively spliced isoforms and is expressed at high levels in the respiratory, reproductive, and urinary systems, as well as in brown adipose tissue and epithelial cells of the gastrointestinal tract. Chromosomal aberrations in the FNBP1 gene have been associated with acute leukemias, indicating a potential role for defective FNBP1 in carcinogenesis, making FNBP1 a significant target for research in cancer biology.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515414 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
