    SEE ALSO...

FN3K Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FN3K protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-FN3K antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FN3K protein, also known as fructosamine 3-kinase, plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of fructosamines, which are formed when glucose reacts with amines in a process called glycation. This enzymatic action helps destabilize and ultimately remove potentially harmful fructosamines from proteins, thereby protecting them from the detrimental effects of nonenzymatic glycation. FN3K is predominantly expressed in mammalian tissues and is essential for maintaining protein integrity, particularly in the context of diabetes, where abnormal FN3K expression can contribute to complications. Using anti-FN3K antibody (E-9) in research provides valuable insights into the mechanisms of glycation and its implications in metabolic disorders.

Can FN3K (E-9): sc-271503 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. Yes, FN3K (E-9): sc-271503 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
