FMNL2 Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FMNL2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FMNL2 (D-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Formin-like protein 2 (FMNL2), also known as Formin homology 2 domain-containing protein 2 or FHOD2, is a 1,087 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene FMNL2. FMNL2 is a member of the formin homology family, characterized by the presence of one diaphanous autoregulatory domain, one formin homology 2 domain, and one Rho GTPase-binding/formin homology 3 domain. Formins are essential for the formation of actin-based structures within cells, playing critical roles in processes such as morphogenesis, cytokinesis, and cell polarity. FMNL2 is involved in the regulation of cell motility and the survival of macrophages, which is crucial for immune response and tissue homeostasis. FMNL2′s ability to interact with specific proteins, such as Rho GTPases, further underscores its importance in cellular dynamics and signaling pathways, making anti-FMNL2 antibody (D-3) a valuable tool for researchers studying these processes in various biological contexts.

Can FMNL2 (D-3): sc-390298 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. Yes, FMNL2 (D-3): sc-390298 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
