Flt-3/Flk-2 Antibody (SF1.340) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Flt-3/Flk-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Flt-3/Flk-2 (SF1.340) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Flt-3/Flk-2, also known as stem cell tyrosine kinase (STK-1), plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis as Flt-3/Flk-2 is involved in the regulation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell proliferation and differentiation. Flt-3/Flk-2 is primarily expressed in CD34+ cells, which are essential for the formation of blood cells, and Flt-3/Flk-2 signaling is vital for maintaining the balance between self-renewal and differentiation of these stem cells. The interaction of Flt-3/Flk-2 with its ligands can lead to the activation of downstream signaling pathways that promote cell survival and proliferation, making Flt-3/Flk-2 a significant target for therapeutic interventions in hematological malignancies. The mouse homolog of STK-1, Flt-3/Flk-2, is expressed at high levels in various tissues, including hematopoietic, neural, gonadal, hepatic, and placental tissues, underscoring Flt-3/Flk-2′s importance in both development and immune responses.

How much protein do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using Flt-3/Flk-2 (SF1.340): sc-19635?

Asked by: jenni
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference. https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
