FHOD3 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FHOD3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FHOD3 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FHOD3 protein, also known as formin homology 2 domain containing 3, FHOS2, or KIAA1695, is a 1,422 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in actin organization within cells. FHOD3 is primarily located in cytoplasm and cytoskeleton, where FHOD3 contains several important domains, including one DAD domain, one FH1 domain, one FH2 domain, and one GBD/FH3 domain. FHOD3′s ability to interact with intermediate filaments is vital for function as an actin-organizing protein, as FHOD3 promotes formation of stress fibers, which are essential for maintaining cell shape and facilitating cellular elongation. This process is particularly important in tissues such as brain, heart, and kidney, where proper cellular architecture is critical for function. Additionally, FHOD3 gene is located on human chromosome 18, a region associated with various genetic disorders, highlighting FHOD3′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
