SEE ALSO...

FGF-9 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects fibroblast growth factor 9 (FGF-9) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FGF-9 Antibody (D-8) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile use in various experimental setups. FGF-9 plays a crucial role in embryonic development and tissue repair by promoting cell proliferation and differentiation, particularly in mesenchymal and epithelial tissues. FGF-9 is primarily located in the extracellular space, where FGF-9 binds to specific fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs) on the cell surface, initiating signaling pathways that regulate cellular processes such as migration, survival, and angiogenesis. FGF-9 interaction with receptors is vital for normal physiological functions and has implications in various pathological conditions, including cancer and tissue fibrosis. Additionally, FGF-9 is known to interact with other members of the fibroblast growth factor family, such as FGF-1 and FGF-2, which can further modulate activity and influence cellular responses. FGF-9 ability to form complexes with these proteins underscores importance in the intricate network of growth factor signaling, making FGF-9 (D-8) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying developmental biology and disease mechanisms.

I am using FGF-9 (D-8): sc-8413 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
