Fc ε RIβ Antibody (5-RE9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Fc epsilon RI beta protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Fc epsilon RI beta antibody (5-RE9) is available as a non-conjugated format. Fc epsilon RI beta protein plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in mediating allergic reactions. Fc epsilon RI beta protein is a component of the high-affinity IgE receptor, which binds to the Fc region of immunoglobulin E with high affinity, initiating the allergic response upon allergen exposure. This activation leads to the release of various mediators, including histamines, which are responsible for the symptoms associated with allergies. Structurally, Fc epsilon RI beta protein is part of a tetrameric complex that includes a heavily glycosylated alpha chain, a beta chain, and two disulfide-linked gamma chains. The beta chain features four transmembrane regions and long cytoplasmic domains that are essential for intracellular signaling. The cytoplasmic domains of both the beta and gamma subunits contain an immunoreceptor tyrosine activation motif (ITAM), which is critical for signal transduction in mast cells and other hematopoietic cells. Phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues within this motif is necessary for effective signaling, and variations in the beta subunit, such as the variant at Glu-237, have been linked to increased susceptibility to atopic dermatitis and asthma.
