FBXO8 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects FBXO8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FBXO8 antibody (C-3) is available as a non-conjugated antibody. F-box only protein 8 (FBXO8) is a 319 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene FBXO8, which plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular processes. FBXO8 contains a 40 amino acid F-box region, classifying FBXO8 as a member of the F-box family, and features a SEC7 domain essential for catalyzing GDP to GTP exchange on the ARF family of small GTP-binding proteins. FBXO8 functions in the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein)-type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, where FBXO8 handles substrate recognition and recruitment for ubiquitination. F-box proteins, including FBXO8, regulate cell cycle, immune responses, signaling pathways, and developmental processes by targeting specific proteins such as cyclins and IκB-α for proteasomal degradation following ubiquitination. FBXO8 is localized near the nucleus within the cytoplasm and is ubiquitously expressed, suggesting a fundamental role in cellular function. FBXO8 facilitates ARF activation by promoting GDP to GTP exchange, influencing various signaling pathways critical for cellular homeostasis and response to external stimuli.
