FBXO4 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FBXO4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FBXO4 (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FBXO4 plays a crucial role as a substrate recognition component of the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein)-type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which is essential for the ubiquitination process that regulates protein degradation. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis, as FBXO4 controls the levels of key proteins involved in various cellular processes, including the cell cycle, immune response, and signaling pathways. FBXO4 specifically recognizes and binds to phosphorylated target proteins, facilitating their ubiquitination and subsequent degradation by the proteasome. FBXO4 directly interacts with Skp1 p19 and CUL-1 within the SCF-type E3 complex and promotes the ubiquitination of TRF1, a protein involved in telomere maintenance. FBXO4 is expressed in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to its functional diversity in cellular processes.
