SEE ALSO...

FBXO28 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FBXO28 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FBXO28 (C-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FBXO28, also known as F-box protein 28, is a 368 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one F-box domain, which is essential for its role in the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. This complex is crucial for substrate recognition and recruitment for ubiquitination, a process that regulates protein degradation and maintains cellular homeostasis. FBXO28′s ability to target specific substrates, such as cyclins and IκB-α, for proteasomal degradation underscores its importance in controlling various cellular processes, including the cell cycle and immune responses. The gene encoding FBXO28 is located on human chromosome 1, a region encompassing nearly 8% of the human genome and including numerous genes associated with various diseases, such as familial adenomatous polyposis and Parkinson′s disease. Anti-FBXO28 antibody (C-8)′s versatility in multiple applications makes this reagent an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of F-box proteins in cellular regulation and disease mechanisms.

I am using FBXO28 (C-8): sc-376851 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
