FBXO11 Antibody (LA-58) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects FBXO11 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FBXO11, also known as VIT1 (Vitiligo-associated protein 1), is a 927 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a pivotal role in the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which is essential for substrate recognition and recruitment during the ubiquitination process. FBXO11 contains one UBR-type zinc finger, one F-box domain, and 19 PbH1 repeats, which are crucial for targeting various proteins for proteasomal degradation, including cyclins and IκB-α. Notably, FBXO11 regulates p53 transcriptional activity by binding and inhibiting this key tumor suppressor, thereby influencing cell cycle progression and apoptosis. FBXO11′s importance extends to its association with vitiligo, a condition characterized by skin depigmentation, where reduced expression has been observed. Multiple isoforms of FBXO11 arise from alternative splicing, contributing to diverse functional roles in cellular processes.
