Fascin 1 Antibody (5G112) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Fascin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Fascin is a crucial Actin-bundling protein that plays a significant role in the organization of the cytoskeleton, particularly in the formation of dynamic cellular structures like microspikes, stress fibers, and membrane ruffles. Fascin′s ability to bundle Actin microfilaments is essential for processes such as cell migration and adhesion, which are vital for tissue remodeling and wound repair. Fascin expression is particularly important in dendritic cells, aiding in their identification in both blood and tissue contexts. Furthermore, Fascin has been implicated as a potential prognostic factor in ovarian epithelial pathology, suggesting a role as a novel therapeutic target in ovarian cancer treatment. Anti-Fascin antibody (5G112) provides a reliable tool for researchers investigating Fascin in various biological processes and diseases, facilitating a deeper understanding of its function and potential as a biomarker.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using Fascin 1 (5G112): sc-71100?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
