FAS Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 1-335, representing the full-length FAS protein of human origin, reactive with mouse, rat, and human species, and validated for applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FAS, also known as CD95 or APO-1, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily and plays a central role in regulating apoptosis. Acting as a death receptor, FAS binds to its ligand, FASL, to initiate the apoptotic signaling cascade, which is critical for maintaining immune system homeostasis, eliminating virus-infected cells, and preventing the survival of transformed or damaged cells.
