FANCF Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FANCF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-FANCF antibody (D-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FANCF protein plays a crucial role in the Fanconi anemia (FA) pathway, which is essential for the repair of DNA interstrand cross-links, thereby maintaining genomic stability. Mutations in FANCF gene can lead to Fanconi anemia, a genetic disorder characterized by bone marrow failure, developmental abnormalities, and increased cancer risk due to chromosomal instability. FANCF protein is involved in the activation of FANCD2, a key player in the FA pathway, and stabilizes other subunits of the FA complex. Notably, phosphorylation of FANCF and other FA proteins is critical for their function, as this process regulates activity and interactions within the cellular environment. Human FANCF gene is located on chromosome 11p15 and encodes a nuclear protein that shares homology with the prokaryotic RNA-binding protein ROM, highlighting potential roles in RNA processing and cellular responses to DNA damage.

Are there any issues with using sc-271952: FANCF (D-2) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-271952 conjugates.
