FAM96B Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FAM96B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FAM96B antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FAM96B plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses and is involved in the regulation of protein homeostasis, which is vital for maintaining cellular function and preventing diseases related to protein misfolding. Located in the cytoplasm, FAM96B interacts with chaperone proteins to facilitate proper folding of newly synthesized proteins and assist in refolding of misfolded proteins, thereby contributing to cellular resilience against stressors such as heat shock and oxidative stress. Dysregulation of FAM96B has been implicated in various pathologies, including neurodegenerative diseases, where impaired protein folding can lead to accumulation of toxic aggregates. The gene encoding FAM96B is situated on chromosome 16, a region associated with several genetic disorders, highlighting the importance of FAM96B in both health and disease.
