    SEE ALSO...

FAM217B Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects FAM217B of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FAM217B antibody (E-11) is available as the non-conjugated format. FAM217B plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in the epididymis, where FAM217B (E-11) is believed to be involved in the regulation of sperm maturation and fertility. Understanding FAM217B is important not only for reproductive biology but also for potential therapeutic targets in male contraception. FAM217B expression in the epididymis highlights its significance in seminal production, and FAM217B dysregulation could lead to fertility issues. Additionally, chromosome 20, where FAM217B is located, is associated with various genetic disorders, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Alagille syndrome, underscoring FAM217B importance in human health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398170 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
