    SEE ALSO...

FAM213A Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects FAM213A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FAM213A antibody (H-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. FAM213A, also known as PAMM (peroxiredoxin-like 2 activated in M-CSF stimulated monocytes) or C10orf58, is a 229 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that belongs to the peroxiredoxin-like FAM213 family and FAM213A subfamily. FAM213A plays a crucial role in redox regulation within cells, acting as an antioxidant that helps mitigate oxidative stress, which is vital for maintaining cellular health and function. FAM213A is induced by colony-stimulating factor 1 (CSF1) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), highlighting FAM213A′s importance in immune responses and inflammation. The gene encoding FAM213A maps to human chromosome 10, which spans nearly 135 million base pairs and constitutes approximately 4.5% of total DNA in cells, encoding nearly 1,200 genes. FAM213A exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, further emphasizing FAM213A′s complexity and regulatory potential in various biological processes.
