SEE ALSO...

EXTL3 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EXTL3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EXTL3 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EXTL3, also known as Reg receptor, EXT-related protein 1 (EXTR1), or glucuronyl-galactosyl-proteoglycan 4-α-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase, is a crucial member of the EXT gene family, which is associated with tumor suppression and is involved in the biosynthesis of heparan sulfate (HS). EXTL3 is primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, where EXTL3 plays a vital role in the initiation and elongation of HS chains by adding N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) to the polysaccharide-protein linkage region. EXTL3′s importance lies in developmental regulation and potential interactions with other proteins, such as binding to Reg via EXTL3′s N-terminus, which may influence various cellular processes and signaling pathways. The conservation of EXTL3′s C-terminus across species from C. elegans to vertebrates underscores the evolutionary significance in maintaining essential biological functions.
