    SEE ALSO...

ESX1 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ESX1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ESX1 (B-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ESX1 plays a crucial role in embryonic development, particularly in the placenta and testis, where ESX1 is essential for proper placenta/fetus development and spermatogenesis. Notably, in human cell lines, ESX1 is characterized as a paired-like homeoprotein that undergoes proteolytic processing into N-terminal and C-terminal fragments. The N-terminal fragment, which contains the homeodomain, is localized in the nucleus and functions to repress mRNA transcription from the K-ras gene. Given that mutations in the K-ras gene are among the most prevalent genetic alterations found in human tumors, ESX1 is increasingly recognized as a potential therapeutic target for treating cancers associated with oncogenic K-ras mutations. With diverse applications and significant biological implications, anti-ESX1 antibody (B-9) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating ESX1 roles in development and cancer biology.
