SEE ALSO...

ERGIC-53 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ERGIC-53 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ERGIC-53 antibody (C-6) is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERGIC-53, also known as LMAN1, plays a crucial role in intracellular transport of glycoproteins, specifically those with high mannose-type glycans, from the endoplasmic reticulum to the ER-Golgi intermediate compartment. ERGIC-53 functions as a mannose-specific lectin, recognizing sugar residues on glycoproteins and glycolipids, which is essential for sorting and recycling these molecules within the cell. Null expression of ERGIC-53 can lead to a rare autosomal recessive bleeding disorder characterized by a combined deficiency of coagulation factors V and VIII, highlighting ERGIC-53′s importance in maintaining hemostatic balance.
