SEE ALSO...

ERdj3 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ERdj3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ERdj3 antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERdj3, a member of the heat shock protein 40 (HSP 40) family, plays a crucial role in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) by assisting in the proper folding and maturation of nascent polypeptides. ERdj3′s location within the ER ensures misfolded proteins are recognized and targeted for degradation, maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing toxic aggregate accumulation. ERdj3 interacts with BiP, a key chaperone involved in protein translocation and quality control, and associates with various substrates, including unfolded immunoglobulin light chains and viral proteins. ERdj3 is implicated in the retrotranslocation process of proteins, such as those affected by Shiga toxin, which hijacks cellular machinery to promote cytoplasmic entry. Through facilitating these critical processes, ERdj3 contributes significantly to the ER quality control system, highlighting ERdj3′s importance in cellular health and function.

Are there any issues with using sc-271240: ERdj3 (C-7) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-271240 conjugates.
