SEE ALSO...

ephrin-B1 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ephrin-B1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ephrin-B1 monoclonal antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ephrins, which serve as ligands for Eph receptors, are critical cell-surface proteins categorized into ephrin-A and ephrin-B based on their structural and functional characteristics. ephrin-B1 is a transmembrane protein that features conserved cytoplasmic tyrosine residues, which undergo phosphorylation upon binding to EphB receptors, thereby initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling events. This phosphorylation facilitates bidirectional signaling between ephrin-B1 and EphB receptors, influencing various cellular processes such as cell attachment and migration. ephrin-B1 presence in the developing retina is particularly significant, as ephrin-B1 plays a vital role in retinal axon mapping along the dorsal-ventral axis, which is essential for proper visual system development. Understanding ephrin-B1 interactions and signaling pathways provides insights into developmental biology and potential roles in diseases where these pathways are disrupted.
