EMR1 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect EMR1 across human, mouse (F4/80), and rat homologs through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. EMR1 monoclonal antibody (D-11) targets an epitope within amino acids 241-530 of the extracellular domain of human EMR1, ensuring precise binding and reliable detection. EMR1, also known as TM7LN3 in humans, and F4/80 in mice, is a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF)-TM7 family of class B G-protein coupled receptors, which play critical roles in the immune system. These receptors are characterized by their extended extracellular regions with multiple N-terminal EGF domains and are predominantly expressed on immune cells such as mature macrophages, including Kupffer cells in the liver, splenic red pulp macrophages, brain microglia, gut lamina propria macrophages, and Langerhans cells in the skin. EMR1/F4/80 undergoes extensive N-linked and some O-linked glycosylation, which is essential for proper function. EMR1 is implicated in key immune processes, including macrophage adhesion, cell migration, and signaling through G-protein coupled pathways, making EMR1 a vital marker for studying macrophage biology and immune responses. Available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants, anti-EMR1 antibody (D-11) offers versatile options for researchers investigating the functional dynamics of macrophages and related immune mechanisms.

Thank you for your question. Anti-EMR1 Antibody (D-11): sc-365340 is recommended for detection of EMR1 of human origin, F4/80 of mouse origin and the corresponding rat homolog by WB. We offer the following Positive Controls for this antibody: TF-1 cell lysate: sc-2412, K-562 whole cell lysate: sc-2203, or J774.A1 cell lysate: sc-3802.

I want to enqiure about F4/80 with reactivity to Rat and useful for staining purposes.

Thank you for your question. We currently do not have any data or product citations in rat samples, but this antibody is recommended and warrantied for detection of the F4/80 homolog in rat based on reactivity with mouse.

What blocking solution should I use with EMR1 (D-11): sc-365340 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?
