Datasheets
  • Elf-4 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ Elf-4 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 583-599 within an internal region of Elf-4 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Elf-4 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • TransCruz reagent for ChIP application (sc-515363 X, 200 µg/0.1 ml)
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Elf-4 Antibody (E-11) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Elf-4 Antibody (E-11) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

Elf-4 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Elf-4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Elf-4 antibody (E-11) is available as a non-conjugated format. Elf-4, also known as myeloid Elf-1-like factor, ELF4, or MEF, is a 663 amino acid member of the Ets-1 family of transcription factors, which are characterized by a conserved DNA binding domain that plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, hematopoiesis, and angiogenesis. This Ets domain specifically binds to DNA sequences containing the consensus sequence 5′-WGGA-3′, known as the Ets-binding domain, allowing Elf-4 to activate the promoters of various hematopoietic growth factor genes, including GM-CSF, IL-3, and IL-8. Notably, Elf-4 is primarily localized in the nucleus and is highly expressed in placenta and myeloid leukemia cells, with lower expression levels observed in tissues such as the lung, heart, thymus, spleen, colon, ovary, and peripheral blood lymphocytes. Elf-4′s ability to activate the Perforin 1 promoter in natural killer (NK) cells suggests a potential involvement in tumorigenesis, highlighting Elf-4′s importance in both normal physiological processes and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515363 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
