eIF3γ Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects eIF3 gamma protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-eIF3γ antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. eIF3 gamma protein plays a crucial role in the initiation of protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells, functioning as part of the eukaryotic initiation factor 3 (eIF3) complex, which is the largest of the eIF complexes. This complex is essential for the assembly of the 40S ribosomal subunit, facilitating the recruitment of the initiator tRNA and mRNA, thereby promoting the formation of the pre-initiation complex. The structural integrity of eIF3 is vital, as eIF3 not only stabilizes the eIF2-GTP-Met-tRNAiMet complex but also aids in the dissociation of 80S ribosomes into their 40S and 60S subunits. Dysregulation and overexpression of eIF3 proteins have been implicated in various cancers, highlighting their potential role in tumorigenesis and making eIF3 proteins a significant target for cancer research.

Are there any issues with using sc-271283: eIF3γ (E-10) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-271283 conjugates.
