eIF3α Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects eIF3α protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-eIF3α antibody (H-1) is available as the non-conjugated form. eIF3α protein plays a crucial role in the initiation of protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells, acting as a key component of the eukaryotic initiation factor 3 (eIF3) complex, which is the largest of the eIF complexes. This complex is essential for the assembly of the 40S ribosomal subunit, facilitating the recruitment of the initiator tRNA and mRNA, thereby promoting the formation of the pre-initiation complex. Proper functioning of eIF3α is vital for maintaining efficient protein synthesis, which is critical for cell growth and proliferation.
