EHD Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects EHD in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-EHD antibody (F-11) targets the Eps15 homology (EH) domain-containing protein family, which plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as endocytosis and membrane trafficking. EHD proteins, particularly EHD1, are characterized by unique structural features, including an amino-terminal nucleotide-binding consensus site, a bipartite nuclear localization signal, and a carboxy-terminal EH protein-binding domain with an EF-hand motif. These structural elements facilitate EHD protein binding to various ligands and cellular components, influencing cellular signaling pathways and membrane receptor internalization. EHD1 is ubiquitously expressed, with notably higher levels in testis, while EHD2, EHD3, and EHD4 exhibit more tissue-specific expression patterns, highlighting potential roles in specialized cellular functions. EHD protein mediation of ligand-induced endocytosis underscores importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating receptor signaling, making EHD (F-11) antibody a valuable research tool for studying these critical biological processes.
