    SEE ALSO...

EHD Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EHD protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-EHD antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Eps15 homology (EH) domain-containing protein family, which includes EHD1, EHD2, EHD3, and EHD4, plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in endocytosis. EHD proteins are characterized by conserved structural features, including an amino-terminal nucleotide-binding consensus site, a bipartite nuclear localization signal, and a carboxy-terminal EH protein-binding domain with an EF-hand motif. EHD1, the most widely expressed member, shows increased expression in the testis, while EHD2 is predominantly found in the heart, EHD3 is expressed in the brain, kidney, liver, placenta, ovary, and heart, and EHD4 is localized in the heart, placenta, and pancreas. The interaction of EHD proteins with specific ligands is essential for their role in endocytosis, highlighting their importance in cellular signaling and nutrient uptake. Understanding the function and distribution of EHD proteins can provide insights into their potential implications in various physiological and pathological processes, making EHD (E-5) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical cellular mechanisms.
