eHAND Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects eHAND protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). eHAND (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. eHAND protein, also known as HAND1, HXT, or Thing1, plays a crucial role in cardiac development as a member of the basic-helix-loop-helix transcription factor family. eHAND is primarily expressed on the left side of the developing heart and in the systemic ventricle, where eHAND is essential for proper formation of heart chambers during cardiogenesis. eHAND protein′s localization ensures correct asymmetrical development of the heart, necessary for proper functioning of the cardiovascular system. eHAND interacts with dHAND (HAND2), predominantly expressed on the right side of the heart, highlighting coordinated action of these transcription factors in establishing left-right cardiac asymmetry. eHAND′s ability to regulate gene expression during heart development underscores eHAND′s importance in both embryonic and fetal stages, making eHAND a significant target for studies related to congenital heart defects and other cardiovascular diseases.
