SEE ALSO...

EFP Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects EFP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-EFP antibody (E-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EFP protein, or estrogen-responsive finger protein, functions as a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in mediating estrogen signaling pathways. EFP protein is a member of the RING finger protein family, characterized by a zinc-binding domain known as the C3HC4 or RING finger motif, along with two B box domains and a coiled-coil region that serves as a transactivation domain. Regulation of EFP by estrogen is significant because EFP influences the growth, differentiation, and function of target cells across various tissues. EFP protein is involved in a signaling cascade where estrogen binds to its receptor, leading to upregulation of EFP gene expression, which activates transcription of secondary estrogen-responsive genes. Understanding EFP′s role in these pathways is essential for elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying estrogen′s effects on cellular processes and may provide insights into therapeutic targets for estrogen-related diseases.
